Job Training & Safety

Your resource for on-the-job skills, safety training, and urgent response in disaster situations, Job Training & Safety performs key functions for your cooperative operations. We develop core skills and improve overall safety through our programming:

• Rural Electric Apprenticeship Program (REAP) with 8,000 hours of on-the-job training and 576 hours in the classroom. Upon completion of the program, lineworkers receive an associate’s degree.
• Safety Accreditation programs that assist cooperatives in receiving discounts on their insurance premiums.
• Disaster planning and emergency assistance.
• CPR and First Aid training, ID cards, employee testing, and tracking.
