Member Relations and Development

Originally under the heading “utilization” the Member Relations and Development department has been an important part of Indiana Statewide Association since 1935. The department supports 39 rural electric cooperatives throughout Indiana, working with members and employees through educational programs.  Whether programs are delivered at the association conference center or to your door, we are always here to help.

Member Relations and Development:
  • Host and facilitate educational programs to help further develop cooperative personnel.
  • Develops new leadership through RELITE, Rural Electric Leaders-In-Training Exchange, our unique two-year leadership program.
  • Coordinates the annual Rural Electric Youth Tour to Washington, D.C., sharing our leadership philosophy, cooperative career opportunities, and encouraging involvement in government.
  • Supports Touchstone Energy Camp, the 4-H Electric Program and 4-H Foundation, FFA, and Indiana Young Farmers’ Association with resources and funding.
  • Informs members and employees through a by-weekly publication of the Statewide Report and eBulletin.
